14 Places I Would Want to Share with My Loved One

There are some places better visited by yourself (like Sephora) and there are some places better enjoyed when shared. Being a traveler (who is still single), I have come to several places which made me wish I had come there with a (love) partner – like, let’s say, Rhehan Malliek. Hihihi.

But life has been great for the single me so far, so I have nothing to complain about. Nonetheless, knowing that I always try to think ahead, I’ve decided to make a single post about places I would want to share with my loved one. My honeyboo. My bae. My babybooboo. My twinkling star after a tiring day. My shining armor in the hands of green windy hills. Hihihi. Want to throw up already?

Places mentioned are not in a rank order or alphabetical.

Let’s open this post with a

Dear Future Partner, let’s go to ….

1. Prague, Czech Republic

>> You see that I’ve made this post containing my desire for this place a long time ago. Prague is romantic and cold, yet warm and inviting. Imagining us holding hands walking down the cobblestone while talking about life or sitting at one of the cafe at the side of the river sipping hot chocolate overlooking the castle-like building is a dream totally mine. 😀

2. Ora Beach, Maluku, Indonesia

>> Blue sea and blue sky coming into sight upon waking up and you cuddling me tight with your head duck to my neck? Bliss. *please take note on the details here* 😛

3. Banda Neira, Maluku, Indonesia

>> This is a personal goal. Dad wrote a book about this place before he passed away and the amazing thing is: he’s never been to the place himself! So I make a plan to come to this place and bring his book just to tell him, “Hey Dad, your little girl can go to a place you wrote about!”. Coming there with you adds some extra points to my blessed-life! 😉

4. Taj Mahal, Agra, India

>> When I visited this place in 2012, I never thought I would have that feeling. A feeling I hardly explain. Like there’s a hole inside my heart and it was shedding and becoming bigger and bigger. The story behind this majestic place didn’t help either so at that time, I said to myself, one day, I’ll be back to India, to Agra, with you. Please make it come true. 🙂

5. Scotland, United Kingdom

>> Being at the top of the Castle, waiting for the sun to set, giggling about our stupidity, sharing about our childhood memories, talking about where to go next, what to do next, which shade of lipstick for me to buy next, is something I will never forget. Gee, even writing it makes me smile ear-to-ear!

6. Hawaii, United States slash Bali, Indonesia

>> Do you watch the series Hawaii Five-O? If yes, we’re 20% good to go! Hihihi. Watching this series makes me want to visit Hawaii. It’s not just the beach but the people and the culture also fascinates me. Other place like Hawaii is Bali. Although being said as a mainstream destination, but Bali has so many new places yet to discover! Plus side: super yummy food too! 😀 Who else is better to experience all these together than you?

7. Petra, Jordan

>> Listed for quite some times, I think the reason I haven’t visited this place is because I’m waiting to go there with you. 😛

8. Yogyakarta, Indonesia

>> A hometown I love! Ride a bike to go around the city, stop at whichever spot we want to see, walk slowly and look at each other every time we see something funny, have dinner at the hawker with a great music accompanying. Simple happiness!

9. Penang Island, Malaysia

>> I just got back from there and must I say, this is a great place for us to wind down from our hectic working schedule. To value the time. To relax. To chill. To drink beer in a hot night. To sip a tasty broth from the market-stall. To build romanticism at the side of the beach or to kiss and smile at the porch of Penang Hill. Should we book a ticket now? 😀

10. Antelope Canyon, Arizona, United States

>> A place like this can’t be missed. Let’s get lost in the magnificent alley, Babe! *awwwww….*

11. Nepal

>> From the crowded Kathmandu to the silent Sarangkot. From paragliding to pinwheeling. From praying to trekking. I know you would say yes right away! 😀

12. Machu Picchu, Peru slash Situs Gunung Padang, Cianjur

>> I know it’s not apple-to-apple to put a slash there but I just want to give options. Yes, I’m that understanding. 😛 Machu Picchu is a great place but it’s surely costly; Situs Gunung Padang, on the other hand, can be just a weekend getaway for us (that, if considered you are someone who live in Jakarta). 😀

13. Komodo Island, Indonesia

>> We can lay on the white sandy beach (or the pink one) side by side with blue sea spoils our every sight, walk with the ranger with our eyes wide opened looking for the magnificent Komodo Dragon, and sit on the boat- deck looking at the sky full of stars when we do live-on-board. Sounds like a good idea, Babe? 😀

14. South Africa

>> Go on a safari; see the Zebra’s butts, watch how big a Rhino can open its mouth, check on the big lion with its gorgeous mane, and witness how graceful a giraffe walk with a sunset at the background. South Africa is an exotic place I really want to go and if you’re up for it, then we’re at the same level of adventure! We may proceed! 😀
