Favorite Silkygirl Products

I know the brand Silkygirl when I traveled to Kuala Lumpur some years ago. There was one particular product from this brand which caught my eyes and it has been one of my fave ever since. Years after, Silkygirl come to Indonesia and made some of the products available in the country. I grow fond of this brand. To me, not only that they offer great quality but also the price range has made it possible for them to be my daily wear make up! I begin to collect their products one by one. Most of them works well for me. 😀

In this post, I’m sharing with you my Favorite Silkygirl Products list. They are not in any particular order.

Two of the fave products mentioned below are not in pic because yeah, I forgot! Princess can forget, y’know! 😛

  • Silkygirl Double Intense Liquid Eyeliner

>> Got it at 50% off at a sale. I believe they have discontinued producing this product because I can’t see it at the rack now. I love Silkygirl Double Intense Liquid Eyeliner because it has the blackest black color. And although it’s a liquid eyeliner, the applicator makes it easy to swipe a precise line. I wish they continue producing this and even better, produce some colored ones in the same form of liquid eyeliner! 😀 (Revision: I saw Silkygirl Double Intense Liquid Eyeliner in Electric Blue on the Indonesia website – so clearly, they offer in color! BUT, I have yet to found one available anywhere up till now. Haha.)

  • Silkygirl Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation

>> Oh God knows how I SUPERLOVE this Silkygirl Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation! I accidentally found this when I had a weekend trip to Ipoh a while back. I forgot to bring my foundation (yes, I know, weird, right!) so I searched for a new temporary one at the drugstore. Once I saw it has Tan shade, I directly took it out from the shelf. Hihi. Talk about me and my tan-skin ambition. 😛 But after the first use, not only it doesn’t become a temporary foundation for me, it has become an all-time fave foundation for daily wear! Silkygirl Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation is available in four shades with Tan being the darkest. It is lightweight, medium coverage, and of course affordable. The packaging is travel-friendly too! Sadly, it is not yet available in Indonesia. I always buy more than one tube everytime I go to Kuala Lumpur and stock it. I stock it cus I love it! 😀

I know you can’t focus on the product because of that cute yellow creature there. Hihi.

  • Silkygirl Long Wearing Lipliner

>> I didn’t know Silkygirl has lipliner before. Hihihi. So when I needed (‘need’, not ‘want’ – *smirk*) a lipliner, I passed this brand! 😛 And only when I looked for lipsticks to heal my brokenheart, the beauty advisor accidentally showed me some of the Silkygirl Long Wearing Lipliner. It is super super super affordable I ended up bringing two shades home that day. Well, no, I brought two because only those two were available at that time, if they had five shades ready, I’m pretty sure I would have bought at least four of them. Hihihi. The color is not too opaque and it doesn’t overpower my lipstick color – which is great! And thank God, it’s not in the form of pencil cus I hate sharpening a pencil cosmetics. 😀

  • Silkygirl Precision Sharp Eyeliner Pen

>> This is one product I’ve told you in the beginning of this post. Everytime I saw this product, I always laugh remembering the story behind my first encounter with it. I went to Kuala Lumpur for four days; upon my arrival, I saw this Silkygirl Precision Sharp Eyeliner Pen at the airport’s drugstore. It hasn’t been in in Indonesia at that moment and sadly, it was not available at that rack, only the tester was there. Cus I really like the color (super jet black) and the applicator (stiff felt-tip pen), I asked my friend if we could check other drugstore at the airport? She said yes. We went to the other drugstore – it was not available also. The next day, at lunch time, we went to a mall and I spotted a drugstore so I went to check if it’s available. NOPE, it was not. The day after, we went for lunch at another mall and I went to the drugstore again to see if it’s available and of course …. NO LUCK. Hihihi. But as someone say, when something is hard to get, it is also hard to forget. Haha. I didn’t stop in the search of my Silkygirl Precision Sharp Eyeliner Pen!

My last day in Kuala Lumpur, as we had lunch in one small shopping mall, I forced myself to check it again at the drugstore and AHA!!! There were only two available. I took one. That same day, in the afternoon, I needed to go back to Jakarta and before I went to the airport,  I showed the eyeliner to another friend at the office. Telling her about how hard it was to get this Silkygirl Precision Sharp Eyeliner Pen. Little did I know, after showing the eyeliner to her, I forgot to put it back in my bag. It was just there, laying on my friend’s table! Then I rushed to catch my flight and only realized I had forgotten my precious Silkygirl Precision Sharp Eyeliner Pen on my way, inside the taxi. HAHAHAHAHA. Luckily, turned out the Silkygirl Precision Sharp Eyeliner Pen was handed to my friend who would depart with me to Jakarta but she didn’t say it was with her all the way in the taxi. She waited for me to realize I lost it. -____-

Oh and around two months after I got back to Jakarta, it is available (in abundant amount) in Jakarta’s outlets. HAHA. Dope!

  • Silkygirl Moisture Boost Lipcolor Balm

>> Who doesn’t know this lipcolor balm from Silkygirl? This is their biggest hit so far, I guess. Six great shades are packed in six individual crayon-like balm. Silkygirl Moisture Boost Lipcolor Balm is moisturizing and doesn’t feel tacky at all. My fave shade: WINE!

  • Silkygirl Moisture Gloss Lipgloss

>> I rarely wear lipgloss cus I feel like my XL size lips don’t need any more booster to make them look even fuller. But when there was a 50% off sale , this Silkygirl Moisture Gloss Lipgloss tickled me. So I bought one two. Surprisingly, they’re amazing and work wonder! It doesn’t make my lips look crazy full, oily, and shiny; the amount of shine is just right. I sometimes use it only in the center of my lips to add a little volume. Silkygirl Moisture Gloss Lipgloss comes with color, so whenever I need a little sheer boost, I apply this on.

I own two lipglosses? ACHIEVEMENT!!

  • Silkygirl Gentle Eye & Lip Makeup Remover

>> Comes in a small bottle so it’s travel-friendly, not oily and doesn’t leave any oil residue on the skin, plus, it leaves a clean fresh fluffy skin after. Nuff said.

  • Silkygirl Hydra Clean Makeup Remover

>> It’s a makeup remover in the form of cleansing milk! Good for erasing your wrongdoing in makeup! Best part: no oil residue at all. 😉

So those are my favorite Silkygirl products. I do have more of their products that I haven’t tried so can’t really share it here. Will do an update whenever I feel like there’s a product I need to share with you. 😉
